#NardsDaily Ep 21 The top insights I had from the Nor Cal Fitness Summit, San Francisco Oct 2017.

 

One of my all time favourite things to do is to present at Fitness Conferences.  I have always found Personal Trainers and Fit Pro’s to be super energised and receptive, so they are a great crowd to be in front of.  

 

Ordinarily I don’t watch other presenters when I am at a conference.  The main reason is because my brain gets overwhelmed and I get distracted from my own content.  However on this occasion my presenting duties were done on the first day which meant I had the time and mental space to watch others.

 

I am a big believer in the concept of “when the student is ready the teacher will appear”, and this is what happened at Nor Cal.

 

I had no expectations, I was just open to receiving whatever messages I needed to hear that day. As an aside this is one of my mantra’s I say as I enter a workshop or education.  I say to myself:

 

I am open to receiving whatever message/s I need to hear today“. 

 

The reason for this is because I can go in without expectation.  Sometimes if we have an expectation or pre-conceived idea of what we are about to learn it may prevent us from allowing a lesson to come in from a different place.

 

So, as I sat down to listen to some key presenters, I was open to receiving the message/s I most needed to hear. 

 

What I learnt was awesome, but there were 3 KEY take-aways that I want to share with you today.
